ITINERARY 

I LOVE PETEN

It is the third largest lake in Guatemala, where Flores Island is located. 10 minutes before boarding the bus you will have time to take souvenir photos at the "I LOVE PETÉN" sign. Here begins the tour where we will pass through small villages until we reach the main entrance of Tikal National Park where we will get off the bus to buy admission tickets to the Park (1 hour and 20 minutes).

Tikal

The main entrance to Tikal National Park is where park rangers will conduct the first ticket check. This marks the beginning of the Tikal National Park reserve. Tickets can also be purchased online at the Guatemalan government website: https://boletos.culturaguate.com/. Two tickets are required for entry to the park: one costs Q150.00 per person and the other Q100.00. Restrooms are available at this point. From there, the trail continues for another 16 kilometers to the visitor center. (40 minutes)

Tikal Visitor Center

At the Tikal National Park Visitor Center, you'll find a scale map of Tikal (model), restrooms, a restaurant, craft shops, and a café. Our guide will give you 15 minutes to explore the area, after which we'll proceed to ticket control and begin the hike along jungle trails. We'll make several stops where the local guide will explain the flora, fauna, and archaeology until we reach the central plaza. (1 hour)

Great Plaza

Here you will find the Great Jaguar, Temple II, the North Acropolis, the South Acropolis, the Mayan Ballcourt, and other sites. This is one of the most important parts of the visit. (1 hour)

Temple IV

Temple IV, or the Temple of the Two-Headed Serpent, requires a lot of energy to climb. It's one of the tallest temples in the National Park and features staircases for easier ascent. It offers incredible panoramic views, especially for watching sunrises. (1 hour)

Tikal Temple V

Temple V at Tikal is one of the best restored, making it truly impressive when you discover it. Afterward, we'll head to the Pyramid of the Lost World to watch the sunset. (1 hour)

Lost World

The Lost World Pyramid has steps for climbing and offers an incredible 360-degree view. The local guide will allow time to climb it and take photos of the panoramic sunset view. (1 hour)

Tikal Visitor Center

After watching the sunset, we head to the visitor center. At this point, the local guide will allow time for restroom use. Then we board our transport and return to Flores, where the activity ends. (1 hour 30 minutes)
